DAAD is the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutsche Akademischer Austauschdienst), which is the world's largest organization supporting international academic exchange between Germany and other countries. It offers scholarships and grants for students, teachers and researchers, and promotes mobility, training and scientific cooperation.

DAAD is a reliable and long-term partner of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
With the funding of the German Academic Exchange Service, our university was able to join a number of projects, including:
1) MoI Ukraine: "Management of Internationalisation and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation (2019- 2024)". This course is intended for heads of international departments and higher education managers responsible for international activities at universities. It helps to improve management in areas such as strategic management, partnerships, student and staff mobility, as well as consulting and marketing.

2) Ukraine Digital: “Digital Ukraine in Times of Crisis” (2022-2025). The program supports Ukrainian higher education institutions, including KhNAHU, in implementing digital teaching and helps Ukrainian students continue their studies in a digital format.

3) CRES-Network: Climate Change Resilient Natural Resource Management Network (2025-2029). The goal of the project is to create a training course module on climate-adapted land use systems. In the long term, student mobility (studying abroad, at the Technical University of Dresden or the Brandenburg University of Technology (Cottbus) and the possibility of obtaining double degrees), expanding cooperation in the field of teaching and research, both between the universities - members of the consortium and non-university institutions.
