Ukrainian HEIs can participate in the following programs: KA220-HED (cooperation in higher education) and CBHE (capacity building in higher education). Projects in this area are aimed at contributing to the improvement of the quality and relevance of the activities of organizations, the development and strengthening of partner networks, increasing the ability of partners to work together at a transnational level, contributing to the internationalization of their own activities through the exchange or development of new practices and methods, as well as the exchange and comparison of ideas.

Objectives of the area:

-          Improving the quality of work, activities and practices of the organizations and institutions involved, opening up to new actors that are not usually included in the sector;

-          Increasing the capacity of organizations to work at a transnational level and across sectors;

-          Addressing common needs and priorities in the field of education, vocational training, youth and sport;

-          Ensuring transformation and change (at individual, institutional or sectoral level) leading to improvements and new approaches, proportionate to the context of each organization.

Project duration: 12-36 months.

Max. grant amount: EUR 120,000 / EUR 250,000 / EUR 400,000.

Who can be a coordinator / applicant?

An organisation from a Programme Country.

Which organisations can participate in a project?

Various organisations are eligible, including those  in the fields of education, vocational training, youth, sport or other socio-economic sectors (as well as organisations carrying out activities that are cross-cutting across different fields) from the Programme Country and Partner Country:

-          School/higher/vocational education institutions and their partners;

-          Central and local public administrations;

-          Local authorities;

-          Chambers of Commerce and Industry;

-          National, regional qualification bodies (National Qualifications Agency, etc.);

-          Business companies;

-          Enterprises;

-          Industrial organisations;

-          Youth and other organisations.

Number and types of organisations, partnership requirements:

At least 3 organisations from three Programme Member States are required (additionally, the participation of organisations from Ukraine and other Programme Partner Countries must be justified as adding value to the project).

Application deadlines:

In 2026 the deadline for CBHE is February 10 and HED application is March 5, in both cases 17:00, Brussels time.
