Functions of the Education Department

The Education Department performs the control functions in organization, planning, and control of the educational process at the university, namely:

– coordinates the organizational-consultative, educational-methodical and normative-informational support of the educational process and educational activity at the university;

– coordinates the activities of deans' offices, faculties and other departments of the university;

– monitors the efficiency and quality of the educational process;

– organizes the planning, accounting of indicators and control of the educational process at all educational and qualification levels and forms of training, by which specialists are prepared in the structural departments of the university;

– summarizes the experience of organization of educational and scientific-methodical work at leading higher education institutions and structural departments of the university;

– monitors implementation of licensing, certification and accreditation requirements for syllabuses, as well as normative documents for the training of specialists;

– monitors educational and methodological activities of the university teaching staff;

– develops proposals for the Rector and the Academic Council to improve the legal framework for the organization of the educational process at the university;

– checks the readiness of the departments for the new academic year;

– monitors the implementation of the classroom load of the teaching staff;

– controls the readiness and effective use of the educational and laboratory base of the university;

– coordinates teaching assignments and fulfillment of teachers’ individual plans;

– controls the preparation for the examination session, state exams and defense of diploma projects (works);

– monitors the implementation of the Rector’s orders and instructions on the regulation of the educational process by directors of centers, deans of faculties and heads of departments.
