The Scientific and Methodological Council is a collective advisory (expert-consultative) body that promotes the implementation of the state educational policy at the university, monitors, analyzes, coordinates, plans educational and methodological work at the university and develops recommendations in accordance with the requirements of national and international standards and the current market labor.
The main tasks of the section for the development and control of curricula and educational programs are:
1) development and approval of curricula for specialists of all levels of training;
2) introduction of new standards of higher education for all levels of training, educational-professional and educational-scientific programs, licensed and accredited in the prescribed manner;
3) development of recommendations regarding the content of work programs and syllabi of educational disciplines;
4) analysis of the educational process organization system and development of proposals for its improvement;
5) development of recommendations regarding normalization of working hours for the scientific and pedagogical staff;
6) development of KhNAHU standards related to curricula, work programs, syllabi of academic disciplines.
The main tasks of the section for monitoring the students’ success are:
1) quality control of the students’ knowledge at different levels of education in accordance with the university control system, analysis of the received data and development of proposals to improve the students’ success;
2) analysis of the results of winter and spring sessions for all specialties and educational programs;
3) analysis of the results of qualifying exams and the defense of qualifying papers at the educational levels of "Junior Bachelor", "Bachelor", "Master" and relevant qualifications;
4) development of the standards of the KhNAHU, which relate to ensuring the quality of education.
The main tasks of the section of methodological support of practices are:
1) analysis of departments’ functioning and summarization of students' practice;
2) implementation of practical training within the dual form of organization of the educational process;
3) control and analysis of production practices progress at each facility;
4) methodological support and analysis of obtaining working professions by students;
5) verification of availability and compliance of educational programs with the methodological recommendations of the Methodological Council regarding organization of practices;
6) participation in the development and correction of the Standard in the quality management system of the KhNAHU concerning the practice of university students;
7) creation of a database from the places of students’ practice
8) development of recommendations for the development and approval of work programs for all types of practice at the faculties.
The main tasks of the section on the quality of teaching disciplines and pedagogical training of scientific and pedagogical staff are:
1) control and assessment of the quality of classes given by the candidates from among the scientific and pedagogical staff nominated for the scientific titles of associate professors and professors;
2) analysis of the quality of educational classes, application of new educational technologies, generalization and dissemination of best practices in this direction;
3) quality control of lectures given by young university teachers;
4) planning, organizing and giving demonstration and open classes by the leading specialists of the university;
5) organizing and holding a seminar on "Pedagogy and psychology of higher education" for professional development of scientific and pedagogical staff of the university at the Center for Educational Services of the KhNAHU;
6) typification and improvement of the educational program on "Pedagogy and psychology of the higher school" for the scientific and pedagogical staff of the university;
7) consultations on the organization and conducting lectures for scientific and pedagogical staff within the framework of the KhNAHU professional development program;
8) control of plans for professional development (internship) of scientific and pedagogical staff.
The main tasks of the section of methods and forms of education of foreign students (citizens) are:
1) providing recommendations on educational and methodological support for language training and educational process of foreign citizens;
2) providing recommendations on the development and implementation of information and computer technologies when providing educational services to foreign students;
3) interdisciplinary coordination in the organization of the educational process for foreign students;
4) development of the standards of the KhNAHU concerning the educational process of foreign students.
The main tasks of the accreditation, standardization and quality of education section are:
1) participation in the work coordination between the structural units of the university on licensing of education levels and accreditation of educational programs;
2) provision of informational, advisory and practical assistance to the structural units of the KhNAHU in preparation of documents regarding the licensing of specialties, accreditation, etc.;
3) organization of seminars on the issues of accreditation of educational programs;
4) development and implementation of methodological recommendations regarding the introduction of the requirements of the KhNAHU Standards of the Education Quality System into the educational process;
5) monitoring the quality of education;
6) coordination of procedures for interviewing applicants and stakeholders regarding the quality of the educational process;
7) development of the KhNAHU standards concerning the procedures to ensure the quality of the educational process.
The main tasks of the section of preparation for publication and management of educational and methodological support are:
1) participation in the development and control over the implementation by the structural subdivisions of the KhNAHU of the Standard on the procedure for planning, preparation and publication of educational and methodological, scientific, professional literature and other publishing products in the KhNAHU publishing house;
2) analysis of the implementation of the annual "University publications plan", including publications with the permission of the Scientific Council of the KhNAHU, control over the preparation of manuscripts of educational and methodological literature for publication;
3) participation in the formation of an expert commission in the fields of knowledge regarding the granting of a Permit of the Scientific Council of the KhNAHU for publishing textbooks and training manuals;
4) submitting proposals to the Methodological Council regarding innovations in the automation of the scientific library: recommendations regarding the operation of databases maintained by the scientific library, in particular the digital archive of the KhNAHU (ElarKHADI);
5) promotion of expanded access to electronic resources of the scientific library and study of new opportunities for the implementation of innovations in this field;
6) studying and providing recommendations regarding the high-quality functioning of the scientific library website on the local network and on the Internet;
7) recommendations regarding the presentation of scientific publications in scientific and metric databases;
8) development of the KhNAHU standards concerning the procedures for publishing educational and methodological literature.
The main tasks of the section of development and use of advanced learning technologies are:
1) providing recommendations concerning the introduction of information technologies into the educational process of the university;
2) development of the technological base of the university, which ensures the use of information technologies;
3) analysis of the state of technical, software and information support of the educational process and development of recommendations for the development and use of software for the educational process;
4) submitting proposals concerning the further development of the university's infrastructure for information technologies in educational activities;
5) developing proposals regarding the content and structure of electronic courses-resources on the Educational website of the KhNAHU,
6) certification of electronic courses-resources posted on the educational site of the KhNAHU;
7) developing standards regarding the functioning of the KhNAHU educational website and its content, as well as the system of certification of electronic courses posted on the KhNAHU educational website.
The main tasks of the distance and dual education section are:
1) carrying out an examination of educational and work curricula for educational programs and specialties of specialist training, work programs of educational disciplines for humanitarian and social-economic, natural-scientific, professional-practical training for compliance with the principles of continuous education;
2) control over compliance with the norms and regulations of the European credit transfer system for the organization of the educational process and development of proposals for its improvement in the system of continuous education;
3) Studying, together with deans, methodological commissions of faculties and departments, the experience of leading domestic and foreign institutions of higher education regarding the introduction of new information technologies, methods and forms of education and providing proposals and recommendations regarding its use in the educational process of the university;
4) developing, together with the dean's offices, methodological commissions of faculties and departments, recommendations on improving the organization of independent, distance and individual work of students during the implementation of dual education;
5) participation in methodological support and control together with the dean's offices, methodological commissions of faculties and departments of scientific and methodological seminars, conferences on scientific and methodological work, professional Olympiads, etc.;
6) developing methods and normative documentation of the KhNAHU related to the implementation of distance and dual forms of education.
7) promoting the implementation of "pilot projects" regarding the organization of the process of distance and dual education.
The main tasks of the section of innovations in teaching humanities, fundamental and natural sciences are:
1) study, collection, analysis and systematization of scientific and technical, regulatory documentation in the direction of environmentalization of higher education;
2) development of recommendations regarding the formation of general and professional training of specialists in the system of higher education;
3) control over the implementation of environmentalization of higher education; continuity of the process of environmental instruction in education, including professional development and retraining of specialists in the field of environmental education;
4) control over the implementation of the requirements of the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCE) in training of specialists in the field of "Natural Sciences" in the specialty "Ecology";
5) implementation of fundamentalization of professional technical training as an integrated process of knowledge generalization, which is carried out on the initiative and under the leadership of specialized departments;
6) justification of the essence of fundamentalization of professional technical training as a methodological basis of the competence approach in higher engineering education;
7) analysis of the proposals of specialized departments regarding the implementation of innovative training methods and recommendations in teaching of fundamental disciplines.
The main tasks of the academic integrity promotion section are:
1) general coordination of compliance with academic integrity and ethics of academic relationships as an element of the internal system of ensuring the quality of educational activities and higher education (academic integrity), as well as scientific activity (research integrity) at the university;
2) development and improvement of the normative and information base of the university, which describes the system and mechanisms for promoting the principles of academic integrity and ethics of academic relationships, mechanisms for prevention, detection, and the procedure for considering cases of violations of academic integrity in the educational and scientific activities of the KhNAHU;
3) popularization of compliance with academic integrity and ethics of academic relationships as one of the fundamental principles of corporate culture at the KhNAHU by students, as well as pedagogical, scientific-pedagogical, scientific workers and other categories of employees during educational-scientific activities and the performance of their official duties;
4) organization of monitoring the compliance with academic integrity and ethics of academic relationships in the educational and scientific activities of the KhNAHU, including the publication of academic texts;
5) promoting the implementation of modern technologies for combating manifestations of academic dishonesty at the KhNAHU, including an effective system for preventing and detecting academic plagiarism in the works of students of higher education and university employees;
6) creation of effective mechanisms for the involvement of all stakeholders of the University's educational and scientific activities (University management, educational program support group, participants in the educational process, graduates, employers) in the promotion of academic integrity.
