Globalization processes have actualized the priority of environmental protection and require the adoption of innovative measures to achieve balanced (sustainable) development. Predominance of resource- and energy-intensive industries mostly has a negative impact on the environment.

On March 26, 2021, within the framework of international cooperation in the areas of scientific, practical and pedagogical activities between Ukraine and Belarus, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, head of the Department of Ecology, N. Vnukova held a presentation of the work of the Department of Ecology of the Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University on the synergy of educational, scientific, managerial and industrial components on climate management and climate change prevention for colleagues from Poles State University and a wide range of participants of the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "Engineering: Theory and Practice", which took place on the Google Meet platform.

The Rector of the Polesky State University, Dunai Valery Ivanovych addressed the participants of the conference with a welcoming speech. The moderator of the international conference was the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Shtepa Volodymyr Mykolayovych.

The organizers and participants of the conference were very interested in the work of the Department of Ecology team in the field of the methodology of environmental safety of the motor vehicle complex of Ukraine, the possibility of joint work in the field of organizing exchanges of applicants and teachers with the aim of improving qualifications and improving the scientific potential in the field of environmental safety of the industrial and transport sectors and innovations in the field management and prevention of climate change. As part of the discussion and exchange of opinions, key areas of further international scientific cooperation were developed.
