Teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) can be challenging for many reasons, among them finding high quality materials and maintaining student motivation. In this webinar Edward De Chazal presented a rationale for a student-centred approach to teaching and learning in the EAP classroom which aims to enhance student engagement and proficiency. Drawing on tasks from different titles in the five level Oxford EAP series, he illustrated ways of using the coursebook's unique features to promote critical thinking and confidence in academic contexts.
